twillflag02THE FOLK OF THE TWILL

There is nothing more magical and alluring than this Land of Twill, with its most extraordinary inhabitants. Written in a crystal bright language, you become absorbed into this sparkling world of its wonderful people and events. It’s a land we image, dwelling somewhere end of the rainbow that we’ve always, especially as children, wanted to visit, or even live. I myself have a passion to live there.

The author imagines it for us, the story beginning with Lord Oaken and his emergency meeting in the handsome council chamber hall of Hollyberry Hall with its walls ‘ornamented with bas-relief figures of animals and birds and flowers painted with vibrant colours.’ At this meeting sit, as well as keep entering, a fabulous array of characters, from elves to folk of all descriptions. The Vale of Twill, with it accompanying maps, holds many surprises, for there is a new world here to be discovered…
